About Ivy

Ivy has been practicing Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in Melbourne for over 10 years. Prior to graduating as a practitioner, Ivy completed undergraduate studies in Behavioural Science, Psychology and went on to work with adults and children living with disabilities. After enjoying several years in this area of work and exploring the world through travel, she set her sights on learning more about the human experience through the human body. Her curiosity lead her to undertake formal studies in Chinese Medicine. The philosophy and the practice of this particular traditional method resonated deeply with Ivy and is now the means through which she provides treatment, support and guidance to individuals on their health journey. Her Chinese Malaysian heritage traces back to roots connected to the Chinese Medicine tradition and way of life, and has undoubtedly also curated her love of food and culture. Having been born in the UK and raised in Australia, Ivy is grateful for her diverse history and celebrates her family’s migration and cross-cultural evolution over the years. Ivy has three wonderful children who inspire and teach her daily. When Ivy is not at clinic, she is usually at home spending time with her family and pets. As a lover of food, one of her biggest joys is cooking and sharing food with others. She is also a keen runner, often seeking out the quiet trails along the Yarra River with her border collie. Ivy views the body as a wonderful, complex puzzle of physical and non-physical qualities, requiring careful inquiry and ongoing attention to master. As such, her work with people encompasses the elegant interplay between body and life itself, expressed as a wholly integrated pattern of flow and change.
